Pain in the...

I had a pretty good cardio session last night. 30 minutes on the bike, hill climb program. One of the things I like about cardio is that every time I switch modes (machines), I get a really high calorie burn! I've done bike twice this week and both days I burned almost 3000 calories total (for the whole day, not the half hour cardio session!) But I have to say that sometimes, newer is not better. I did the bike at Bradshaw 24 earlier this week, and at Calvine last night. I like the Bradshaw bikes much better, even though they're older! They're smoother and the seat is more comfortable and they have better programs to choose from. On a different subject, I think I'm getting girlier as I get older. And just because I have tattoos, short hair and black fingernails doesn't mean I cant be girly! I wear makeup now! Almost EVERY day! I like it, it makes me feel good, and it's a PAIN IN THE...!!! Being a fitness professional who works out regularly is not condusive to wearing makeup. I spend good time on primping before I leave, and I find myself hesitating to do cardio because I know I will sweat off all my hard work! Lame, lame, lame. I need to suck it up and just do it. But man, you guys are sooooooooo lucky you don't have to deal with these things!

  1. I totally understand what you are going thru. I have the same issues with my hair...alot of time drying and flat ironing and the minute I start sweating, it just starts frizzing. If you aren't using waterproof makeup perhaps that would be an alternative for you....know where I can find waterproof hair?

  2. Sadly, no. We're doomed to have great bodies and look ragged all the time :(

  3. I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes my hair is just everywhere and my receeding hairline is just obvious! Not to mention my eyes just look so boring without makeup. Oh, and yesturday, after racketball someone told me I smell like I just worked out, and I was like, OMG, sorry!

PS. Saw Colin in the gym today.

  6. Justin, shut your metro mouth! You know you worry about stuff like that just as much as we do! Mom, I had a great bday. I ate out for breakfast, got to buy a book at Borders w/ a gift card from a client, napped and worked out. I hope you had a great bday as well!
